â˘
After 2 years of no racing I wanted the next one to be special and NYC sure thing you were! Main and only goal was to ENJOY the race feeling strong and we ACHIEVED IT!
â˘
It takes a village to make it here and I feel extremely grateful and without words to described the love and energy I felt from my core family to everyone cheering on the streets and homes!
â˘
This marathon block wasnât easy as I literally had to build up again all my fitness during the summer months of Miami,FL but at the same time trusting my plan we were able to take one step at a time without rushing it. Last 2 weeks leading to the race the humidity and heat dropped allowing us to get sharp and ready for the challenge.
â˘
Letâs dive into the race, the course sure thing isnât the fastest, constantly little climbs (those that arenât very steep yet you feel them very much!). The beginning of it you canât be on a rush as you literally have to pass a wall of influencers and famous people, I personally was very distracted by the amount of people and views đ. As the first miles went by we had some many runners coming out from different streets going into the main course (No way we all ran the same distance đ).
â˘
During the entire race I was passing people and never found that group, I am used to it so I didnât mind at all, actually, I was happy about it as it allowed me to do my own race and enjoy each mile.
â˘
Mile 20 at the Bronx leading to Central Park, feeling like a beast and thinking to myself âthank God I ran conservativeâ the wall you have to climb to get to Central Park this late in the race is not a joke đ thanks everyone for not giving me heads up (I am being sarcastic).
â˘
The energy during the entire race is something I have never experience before. Special shoutout to my wife for her support day in and out. To my family for taking care of our kids including nalita, to all my friends/bros that hosted us and supported us during the entire weekend.
â˘
THANK YOU for giving me so much love everyone â¤ď¸
â˘
To be continuedâŚ.

2023 Miami Half Marathon Champion!
â˘
We went out to play and win regardless of the time but prioritizing the position.
â˘
Taking advantage of my fitness, I couldn't miss this opportunity to compete at home in the (Half) and fight for this title to stay at home (Miami) with all my people!
â˘
Tough conditions from the start, a lot of wind and humidity while playing with head of the race group (marathon) that gave me 4:50â mile pace partials with the head wind đ¤Ż.
â˘
Once in South Beach (mile 3) I let go the two lead runners and decided to be smart and secure my position, since I had a leading gap of almost a minute with the second (half marathon).
â˘
Cool and focused head until mile 11 where I saw the two athletes from Kenya in the distance and decide to close their gap a bit. Until I reached the last half mile and decided to celebrate the race with my beautiful family, friends, spectators and race volunteers
â˘
Congratulations to all the participants, almost 20,000 nothing more and nothing less!

âStrength doesnât come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable willâ Mohamed Gandhi âď¸
In sport as in life what we must learn is to fall and then get up, (always trying to discover the reasons as of why we fell, although often this will take time) not to fly. Because people don't fly and whoever tells you they fly is lying đ¤Ľ

As the days go by, I value even more the great opportunity I had to be able to explore these beautiful đŚđˇ landscapes.
*
I have always said it and I will repeat it, if it wasnât for how much I enjoy this sport and for all the adventures it gives me, none of this would make any sense.
*
In the next few days, I will publish more details about the reality about our Spanish Federation leaving the entire National team hanging 3 days before the worlds Championship.
