Across Miami-Dade, nursing pathways through institutions like , Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences, St. Thomas University, the , and other programs such as .oficial and West Coast University are preparing thousands of new nursing graduates each year entering the profession with purpose, skill, and cultural understanding.

For many multicultural nurses just beginning their careers, nursing is more than a profession, it is a pathway to stability, mobility, and long-term prosperity, grounded in service and strengthened by trust.

Through cultural awareness, language access, and compassionate care, this NextGen continues building a healthcare system that reflects the communities it serves.

We’re proud to share a story that carries multigenerational weight—one that begins with Christian Roig’s abuela, who we honored years ago,
and lives on through his mother, Carmen Corvos-Roig.
