Friends and Family,
I know I post a lot about philanthropy and fundraising opportunities but this really touches home. Believe it or not we have all been affected by cancer in some way. Some worse than others, but the absolute worst part of my encounter with cancer has been having to watch every single cancer patient struggle to know what is to come next. It is unimaginable to me that we have all these medical advancements yet we have not figured out a way to kick cancer's butt.

The responsibility of representing Beta Sigma Beta's philanthropy has given me a lot of opportunities to fundraise and bring together people to battle tons of ongoing issues but this issue is one that has been constantly thrown in front of my face. Whether it be my grandmother before I was born, or more recently my favorite teacher throughout my entire education, cancer has taken some wonderful people from us and its our time to stand up and not let that happen anymore.
