The Claims Bill process is never easy — you fight in the Senate, the House, and finally the Governor’s office. But today, it was signed into law: $18 million for victims of government negligence.
Included is $2 million for the family of P.J. Janvier, a coach and Army Reservist who drowned because of the egregious failure of lifeguards at a Miami Beach community pool.
We couldn’t have done it without Michael Haggard,Doug McCarron and the Haggard Law Firm. It was an honor to stand for these families and deliver justice.
