🔧 How to Get It Back on Track
✅ 1. Minimize movement immediately
Avoid tight clothes rubbing it
Stop sleeping on it
No playing with or twisting the top
✅ 2. Dial in aftercare
Sterile saline spray 1–2x daily (no overcleaning)
Pat dry—no wiping or cotton fibers catching
✅ 3. Downsize or switch top
A smaller/lighter top reduces pressure and tension on the anchor.
✅ 4. Protect it
Use a breathable bandage (like a bandaid at night) if it’s getting snagged
Be strategic with clothing
✅ 5. Reduce inflammation
If it’s irritated but not infected:
Keep it clean
Avoid oils, creams, alcohol, peroxide (these make it worse)
✅ 6. See a professional early
If it’s shifting, sometimes a piercer can:
Adjust the top
Evaluate depth
Tell you if it’s salvageable
