Why are my lips darker after lip tattoo?
Immediately after the procedure the lips will appear to be darker than when they are fully healed. This is due to oxidation of the pigment and the redness of the skin. After three to four days the color will become lighter as the epidermis sloughs off and the skin heals over the pigment.
