Mike Said Out Loud What God Had Written in Silence.

Eleven years ago I met Mike Castillo. I’d been in the United States for less than a year. I wasn’t a Christian. And many people told him to stay away from me. He didn’t.
No judgment. No condemnation. Just love.
And today, in front of everyone, Mike picked up the microphone and in under two minutes told the story of what God has done in my life: “Fast forward years of us spending a lot of time together and no judging” — years of friendship, quiet faith, and seeds planted without seeing the harvest.
He talked about the photo I sent him of my baptism. About the times he helped me send food and support to my mom in Cuba — something he did many times, without me ever having to ask. About my dream of bringing her here — a dream that came true. About how God just gave me the job I deserve.
And then he said something that broke me open: “God has not even begun.”
My eyes filled with tears. Because I know what that road cost. The Santería, the Yoruba religion, the chains you can’t always see but always feel. And I know it was love — not judgment — that set me free.
Mike was the vessel. God was the author.
If you’re in a season you don’t understand yet — stay. He didn’t come to destroy you. He came to restore you.
