We just wrapped up a project we're really proud of.
Mineros Aluvial, part of the Minero S.A. Group, designed a floating extraction plant in the Colombian lowlands that recovers gold from enclosed ponds isolated from the river. The gold is separated by gravity alone, and everything returns to where it came from, free of heavy metals and harsh chemicals. An extraction cycle built to respect the environment.
Prowinch created the system that keeps the barge where it needs to be. Four heavy-duty Prowinch PWK21000i winches working independently or in perfect sync, adjusting cable tension to position the plant with surgical precision. Behind them: ABB drives, a high-reliability PLC, a touchscreen command console, and a wireless remote so the operator can work outside the cabin with a clear view of every maneuver.
We made sure the equipment was just as thoughtful as the process it supports. Built for precision, built to last, built to respect its surroundings.
