This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave soldiers who gave their lives defending our country and protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day.

WTDC will be closed on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. We would also like to thank the Gazitua family for their generosity in providing our team with a paid day off to spend time with family and loved ones.

Welcome to the team, Amaria! Amaria Sajous is a senior at Florida International University College of Business studying International Business with a minor in social media and e-marketing analytics. She graduates Fall 2026 is completing an Internship in Business Development and Marketing at WTDC this summer.

Excited to spend the summer with the WTDC Intern team, Amanda, Walter, Amaria, Emma, Marjorie, and Chris (not pictured). Looking forward to learning, growing, and gaining hands on experiences in the real world!

WTDC is honored to recognize Carlos Gazitua, CEO of Sergio's Restaurants as our Vendor of the month!

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Sergio's Restaurants. The Cuban American restaurant has become a staple throughout South Florida. Under Carlos' leadership, Sergio's has grown into a leading hospitality and food brand, generating more than $50 million in annual sales while continuing to uphold the culture, quality, and family values that have defined the company for generations. Carlos' leadership and entrepreneurial vision have earned him recognition as one of Florida Trend's 500 Most Influential Business Leaders.

Carlos is part of the third generation of WTDC’s Gazitua family legacy, a company founded by his father John, uncle Ralph, and grandfather Luis Rafael.
