What an incredible moment! We’re thrilled to announce that the Oklahoma Indigenous Nurses Association (OINA) is featured on the cover of the Oklahoma Nurse August magazine issue! 🌟 This is truly BIG news, and we couldn’t be happier or more proud.

The beautiful cover photo was taken just after the honoring ceremony for the Northeastern Oklahoma Recruitment and Advance of Native Americans (NEORAAIN) scholarship recipients at their pinning ceremony. It was a sacred occasion, and OINA was deeply honored to stand alongside these inspiring new nurses—guiding them not only as healers but also in caring for their spirits as they begin their nursing journeys.

Be sure to check out the article “Weaving Stronger Ties” in this issue for more on these powerful moments and the impact Indigenous nurses are making across our communities. We’re looking forward to reading many more stories from Indigenous nurses and celebrating their journeys as they help heal and uplift us all.
