💰 How much do Product Managers REALLY make?

I get this question all the time—especially from career switchers.

The honest answer?
👉 It depends… a LOT.

PM salaries range from $80K to $500K+, and most people misunderstand why.

Here’s what actually drives PM pay:
• West Coast PMs often earn ~30% more than East Coast
• Big Tech comp = base + stock (equity matters more than you think)
• Associate PM vs Senior PM pay is a massive gap
• Director & VP roles are heavily stock-driven
• Startup salary vs equity tradeoffs are often misunderstood

Most people only look at base salary.
That’s a mistake.

Total comp, location, seniority, and company performance can completely change your earning potential.

If you’re:
✔️ Exploring PM
✔️ Preparing for an offer
✔️ Wondering if you’re underpaid

7.4 MILLION people enrolled in AI courses in 2024.
The AI skills race isn’t coming… it’s already here. ⚡️

But while most people are still trying to catch up, some are already winning.

Jason just landed a VP of AI Product Management role at a major financial institution.

And his background?
👉 Digital product management
❌ Not years of AI
❌ Not coding
❌ Not a technical degree

He didn’t wait for the “perfect time.”
He didn’t bury himself in 2 years of learning how to code.

He learned the right AI product skills companies are paying a premium for.

That’s exactly what I’m teaching in my free AI Product Management Workshop happening this week.

If you want to learn:

Did you know a manager-level salary can range anywhere from $80K to $500K? 😳

That gap isn’t luck — it comes down to a few key factors:

📍 Location
West Coast roles often pay significantly more due to cost of living and talent competition.

🏢 Company type
Big tech roles usually include equity, which can dramatically increase total compensation over time.

📈 Level & experience
An entry-level manager and a senior leader may have the same title — but wildly different pay.

The biggest mistake? Only looking at base salary.
Total compensation (bonus + equity) is what really matters.

If you want to know what salary range you should be aiming for based on your experience, DM me or drop a comment and I’ll send you the details.
