A new, yet long-established cruise line in South Asia is set to embark on its first journey on June 15 from Singapore on the Genting Dream (formerly World Dream). Genting Hong Kong has rebranded their largest cruise line, Dream Cruises, with the largely popular resort name, Resorts World Cruises. The ships of Crystal Cruises and Star Cruises having been liquidated, Genting is off to a new start, putting the Resorts World brand on center stage.

CLIA reported today that over 35% of their sea capacity is able to operate via shoreside power at 14 major ports across the world. In other words, ships can switch off their engines in exchange for a more sustainable power source from land.
Although this may seem insignificant, it marks a game changer in industry sustainability and technology.
This could also lead to reduced cruise fares, as ships could cut 20% on their fuel expenses.
