Happy Mother’s Day to all moms out there! ❤️💐 Past, present, and future alike.

They call it labor for a reason. 18hrs of contractions while dealing with pregnancy induced hypertension, along with an additional 4hrs of labor for Jr to make his presence known to the world. No epidural. Straight up natural birthing. ❤️🤙🏼💪🏼🙌🏼❤️

It showed me what a woman’s body was/is capable of.

Motherhood taught me how complicated the corporate world can be for women. I was discouraged by some folks from ever thinking about having a kid. It impacted my “climbing the corporate ladder” as it showed a “sign of weakness” (the unspoken double edge sword for those of us who were born driven). I got a bit screwed over with my FMLA too, driven by a combination of the line of work I did at the time along with internal politics. But all of it is water under the bridge now. No regrets and I hold no grudges bcz it’s made me even tougher. ❤️💪🏼🤙🏼❤️
