Get Refreshed

A progression of I know it’s about to get nasty montage. Calm seas never made a good sailor. The Aeolian Islands North East of Sicily, Italy 🇮🇹 are made of active volcanoes spewing smoke and lava as you pass them. I’ve never been in a place where you can feel the strength of nature from volcanos to the winds that bring sand from Africa You feel as if the waters and mountains are alive here. In ancient Greek mythology, the Aeolian Islands were said to be the home of Ae**us, the god of the winds. The islands derive their name from him and were believed to be the place where he kept the winds locked away. Unfortunately, Aeolian did not grant us passage to the other islands, but he did allow us to go home showing his might for a two hours with 30knot 12ft waves Crashing on to the boat and hitting me in the face as if i were being slapped by the god of wind himself. I just stayed calm and pressed on. On to Rome tomorrow. .
