From Dade to Duval, we can reform our healthcare system so that every Floridian can not only stay healthy–but thrive!

Every day, hundreds of thousands of Floridians work hard, but can’t escape the gap of earning too much to qualify for Medicaid, but too little to afford private coverage. It’s a gap we can collectively do something about.

Here’s what you need to know!

👏🏽 Expanding who qualifies for Medicaid (called Medicaid Expansion or MedEx) would make affordable health care available to hundreds of thousands of Floridians.

💸 The federal funding is already there to make it happen.

🤝 We can get MedEx on the ballot for voter approval in 2028.
We know that when we come together, change is possible, and when we exercise our right to be civically engaged, even bigger change is possible.

So let’s work together to put this issue on the ballot for 2028!

Tap the link to request your petition to add MedEx to the 2028 ballot, so that hundreds of thousands of your friends and neighbors can gain access to affordable, life-saving care.

🥵 It's heat season! Take extra precautions today and check in on your neighbors.

Tips for staying safe 👇

❄️ STAY COOL:

🏘️ Spend time in air-conditioned buildings if you can (if not available at home or with friends and family, try neighborhood community centers, libraries, malls, or movie theaters)

☀️ Avoid direct contact with the sun

🏃🏽‍♂️ Reduce physical activity and move to shaded areas

🌆 Do outdoor activities in the cooler morning or evening hours

🎽 Cool your body down quickly by wearing a wet scarf, bandana, or shirt

💦 STAY HYDRATED:

🚰 Drink plenty of water and don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink more

☕️ Limit or avoid caffeine and alcohol. They can be dehydrating

⚡️ Drink electrolyte drinks if you have access to them

⚠️ STAY SAFE:

🚫🚙 Never leave infants, children or pets in a parked car, even if the windows are cracked open. It only takes a few minutes for severe medical problems and even death to occur

🥵 Watch for signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Seek medical care immediately if you know someone who experiences symptoms

🌡️ Check the local weather forecast – the National Weather Service is the best place to access the most current weather and forecast information
