We have a saying i tell the kids.. You never know when you play your last game. Make the most of it. Play every game as it may be your last. Seize your opportunity. Some hang on too long. others don't realize they are toward the end . The point is never to waste a chance.

I tell the kids, one day you will play your last game, and with any luck, you will be aware if it as will your parents. I never expected to tell them that you never know when your dad / mom will see your last game. When you look into the stands and see mom or dad there, you expect them to always be there. One day, that can change. In an instant, suddenly one, or both of them wont be there. Are you happy with the effort you put forth until then ?

A few weeks ago, we had this happen. One of our dads passed away suddenly, without warning. Saturday he was there, Sunday he wasn't. Without warning, the phrase " you never know when you will play your last game" had a different meaning. A 13 year old boy would never look into the stands and see his dad there Ever...

When you take your son or daughter to the game. simply tell them how much you love watching them play. If they play bad, tell them how proud you are of them for competing. You never know when your last chance to tell them how you fell is, so make it worthwhile. Make every moment count as you ever know when this may be you last moment.

If you can, please take a moment to remember Steve Brewster, and his son Evan. Steve never thought today will be the last day to see Evan play, and yet that's where we are. Steve passed away Sat March 16th, while getting ready to see Evan play ... Steve never got to see Evan play his last game, and Evan played one heck of a game. Rest in peace Steve, we will do our best for Evan and the family,
