The idea is that most of the time the method isn’t new. It’s just packaged differently.

Working hard is not the right solution if you want to scale your business, because you’re missing something essential: living your life.

For me, the concept of “work–life balance” has taken on an interesting nuance over the past few years.

In practice, you could say that I work hard, but for me it doesn’t feel like that at all. I work every day, even on weekends, from morning until evening. When I feel the need for a break or relaxation, or I have an event to attend, or I simply spend time with someone dear to me, I do it without hesitation.

The thing is, what I do for work is part of my life. I don’t do it just for the money. I do it because I enjoy it, I’m passionate about it, and what I offer has an impact on other people’s lives and businesses. And that gives me the energy and motivation to keep going.

There are moments when I don’t mind spending hours in front of a screen without a break, because those hours pass in the blink of an eye. For me, work doesn’t just mean providing services, optimizing things, or offering consulting. In all those working hours, there is also a lot of research, creative work, and interaction with the people around me.

Still, having done this for a long time, it has become normal for me. The kind of work that seems hard or difficult to understand for some people is, in fact, smart work.

I’ve learned that working hard is pointless if you’re heading in the wrong direction or if you’ve chosen the wrong boat to sail out to sea.

You need a destination, a journey plan, and a “boat” that can handle challenges and unforeseen situations. That boat is your business model and the systems you build around it, which support your activity and progress.

You can’t do everything alone and you can’t be good at everything. You need good, dedicated people and experts by your side. This will give you an advantage: consultants, mentors, service providers, and the team you build around your idea.

Without these, hard work won’t help you much. At the same time, you need to invest time, money, and energy into the other areas of life as well, not just business.
