I’m so late making this post but… bear with me.

You guys!!! You really did this!! Our Give Miami Day was a success, and it meant the world to see so many of your names pop up. We got the donation match and I made sure to write all 68 of you individually, so please check your email spam if you haven’t seen it yet ❤️

I’m only just now catching a break to breathe and update you, and the reason is… well… chaos. On the same day of this beautiful campaign, we were in and out of the ER trying to figure out why foster Kellogg was suddenly vomiting GREEN.

Turns out our dude decided to eat a piece of Wobbly’s support carpet. Don’t ask me how. No idea. But it happened. And it caused a blockage so bad that his intestines started shutting down. Emergency surgery had to be done or he would not last another day. Next thing we know, we’re staring at a $7,000 quote.

The last 48 hours were pure desperation. For a moment, it felt like all of our Give Miami Day funds (which we were relying on to pay down rescue debt and take care of our senior cats’ pending dental) were going to vanish in one day.

And then, when everything felt impossible… stepped in and gave us a miracle. They made sure Kellogg could get the surgery and hospitalization he needed without destroying our rescue financially. I cannot explain the relief that washed over us.

Tonight at 6pm, Kellogg finally came out of surgery. No complications. He’s stable. We can finally exhale.

Meet Huxley & Kellog – The Perfect Pair of Opposites!

These two handsome boys are the best of friends and balance each other beautifully.

Kellog is the affectionate social butterfly — a total sweetheart who loves to be near his humans. He’s the first to greet you, happily soaks up pets, and even plays fetch!

Huxley, on the other hand, is the quieter, more thoughtful half of the duo. He takes a little time to feel comfortable, but once he does, he shows his love in the sweetest ways — with slow blinks, gentle nudges, and a loud, happy purr that tells you he’s content. He relies on Kellog’s confident energy and enjoys the company of other friendly cats.

They would do well in a loving home with patience to let these two bloom. Once they open up, they are truly the sweetest and most affectionate boys — the kind whose love feels extra special because it’s earned. The reward is absolutely worth the wait.

Together, they make the perfect team — playful, loving, and deeply bonded. They bring out the best in each other and are looking for a forever home where they can stay side by side.

🚨Plot twist of the year: Apollo has a BROTHER.
If you’ve been following our rescue journey for a while, you’ll remember Apollo. The king of “no applications, no visitors, no interest whatsoever” for over a year. That’s right, not a single nibble.
But then… bam! He gets finally gets adopted by the most wonderful family, and spoiler alert: he’s living his absolute best life. Apollo now sleeps belly-up like a retired emperor with no taxes to pay and zero concerns in the world.
But here’s the twist no one saw coming…
Enter: Cooper
Also a graduate of our rescue, full of kitten chaos, and now… Apollo’s little brother.
We’ll be honest, we were bracing ourselves. Apollo had a very exclusive social club when it came to other cats. We weren’t sure if Cooper’s orange energy would be accepted by the self-appointed Prince of Peace and Naps™.
But guess what?
Apollo has adopted HIM.
Tail-chasing? Tolerated.
Zoomies? Encouraged.
Nap-time? Now done in a pile of adorable brotherly love. 🐾❤️
So if you were wondering how Apollo is doing... he’s thriving. He got the home he always deserved and a brother he never knew he needed.
