Decided to walk through Seattle with the intention of shooting only in black and white.

Busy streets, trinket shops and damn good smoked salmon.

Not something I share too often. My resort work.

It’s funny, when I started shooting resorts I thought it was going to be kind of boring. Given that I am used to shooting in pretty complex and challenging environments. Holding my breath, water clarity, currents, wild life that won’t stay still and pose for me haha.

Surpringly, I really loved shooting resorts.

Imagine I told you to take a photo of a flower. Simple enough. You’d get a decent photo of a flower.

Now imagine I told you to take 100 photos of that same flower. You would get really creative. You would come up with some really interesting angles and lighting for it. Same goes for shooting resorts and interiors.

When to strip away the complexity and given a simple task, your creativity is forced to expand.

We’ve all heard “think outside the box”. Sometimes with creativity you need to put yourself in a box. 📦
