During a recent visit to Miami Beach, I spent time walking through the Art Deco district — one of the most distinctive architectural neighborhoods in the country.

I got to spend a few days staying at The Avalon Hotel - pastel walls, palm trees, and the rhythm of Ocean Drive moving past in front.

I painted The Avalon, Miami Beach as a memory of that moment and the quiet elegance of the Art Deco buildings that define the area.
