Quick solo hike up Cannon mountain yesterday for sunset! Got the little light that showed itself before the clouds rolled in.

Solo hikes are interesting. It’s you, ambient noise of nature, and your thoughts. It’s a much different experience when hiking with someone or a group. You don’t have the distractions of conversations except with yourself. With all the noise, and stressors of life this was a much needed hike!

Time is free, but it’s priceless. Thinking about cold nights in Baxter State Park during these extremely hot days. This imagine is the Ranger’s cabin at Chimney Pond where we’re about 13 miles from the nearest road!
