3 things you should do after a storm—without ever getting on your roof.

Your first instinct might be to grab a ladder… don’t.

Instead, here’s what you can safely do from the ground:

🌳 1. Walk around your home.
Look for shingles on the ground, dented gutters, damaged siding, or torn window screens. These are all signs your roof may have been impacted.

📸 2. Take photos.
If you notice anything unusual around your property, snap a few pictures. They can be helpful if damage is found later.

📅 3. Schedule a professional inspection.
Not all storm damage is visible from the ground. Hail damage, lifted shingles, and damaged flashing can easily go unnoticed until they become a costly problem.

The good news? A roof inspection is quick, free, and gives you peace of mind—whether your roof is damaged or in great shape.

At Fetch Roofing, we believe homeowners deserve honest answers, not high-pressure sales. If you’d like to know how your roof held up after the last storm, send us a message. We would be happy to help.

Protect your home. Stay off the ladder. Let us do the climbing.

Should you call your insurance company or a roofer first?

It’s one of the most common questions I get.

In most cases, it’s smart to have your roof inspected before filing an insurance claim.

Why?

If there’s no storm damage, you’ve avoided filing an unnecessary claim.

If there is storm damage, you’ll have photos, documentation, and a better understanding of what’s going on before talking with your insurance company.

A good roofing contractor should never pressure you into filing a claim. Their job is to inspect your roof, explain what they find, and let the facts speak for themselves.

That’s exactly how we do things at Fetch Roofing.

✅ Honest inspections
✅ Clear photo documentation
✅ Straightforward answers
✅ No pressure—ever

Our goal isn’t to convince you that you need a new roof. It’s to help you make an informed decision based on the actual condition of your home.

If the next storm leaves you wondering whether your roof was affected, send us a message. We would be happy to take a look and give you an honest assessment.
