Beautiful, handmade wood bookcase acquired for use as display shelves in The Gold Turtle. This photo shows the piece in the condition we purchased. Yes, there is dust to remove. Otherwise, the piece is in great shape and as solid as it appears. The bookcase stands about 6' tall with a width of 40"-46."

This absolutely adorable Scotty figurine was originally sold by the Olds, Wortman & Kings department store in Portland, Oregon (1851-1974). An original price tag for 25 cents is affixed to the base of the figurine; this rare piece of information provides a date range for the original sale and purchase between 1901 and 1941 based on the use of this version of the business name. This 3 1/2 inch tall Scotty is a wonderful example of molded (cast) sand-resin, hand-painted figurines produced in the early 20th century.

Similar figurines, listed online for $15-$60, are described as holders for a single lipstick or small as perfume bottle.
