Proofing is where most people quit.

They teach the command… dog does it in the living room… maybe even the backyard… and they go
“he knows it.”

No. He doesn’t.

Does he know it with high levels of distractions? Does he know it when he has to do long durations? Does he know it at a distance?

Proofing is taking that same command and dragging it through real life scenarios with difficult distractions until it holds up under pressure.
