Micron, a global micro-chip company—in conjunction with The White House—took Syracuse by storm this past Thursday to make a public announcement regarding their multi-billion dollar facility in Clay, NY just outside of Syracuse. Pictured behind President Biden is Micron’s President & CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. I documented the grand pomp and circumstance occasion from a special events perspective. I have NEVER seen so much live secret service and press in one room in my entire life! There was excitement in the air as the crowd chanted “Let’s Go, Orange” at one point (Since President Biden is an SU law school alumni). Truly exciting and I can’t even begin to put into words what this will mean for Central/Upstate New York’s economy.
