Some days just stay with you.

This week our team spent the day at an incredible retreat in the mountains of New Meadows learning from Kevin Hall, author of Aspire. It was truly one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had in a long time.

What impacted me most wasn’t just his wisdom. It was his heart.

He met almost 25 people he had never met before, learned every one of our names, took the time to hear our stories, and somehow made each of us feel genuinely seen. In a world that moves so fast, that kind of presence is rare.

Being self-employed is so much more than building a business. It’s a journey of becoming. It stretches you, humbles you, and asks you to grow into the person you’re capable of becoming. As a single mom, there have been seasons where I’ve questioned the path, wondered if I was doing enough, or if it would all be worth it.

Then there are days like this.

Days that remind me just how grateful I am for the people I’m surrounded by, the opportunities this career has given me, and the chance to keep learning from leaders who truly lead with humility and heart.

Thank you, Kevin, for reminding us that our words matter, our purpose matters, and that greatness isn’t about titles or achievements. It’s about how we make people feel and how we choose to serve them.

I never could have imagined experiences like this would be part of my life, and I don’t take a single one for granted.

If you haven’t read Aspire, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s one of those books that has the potential to change the way you think about your purpose and the impact you have on others.
