Mothering alone vs. mothering together
When I first had my child I bought into the lie that as a woman I could have it all. I could have a career, a perfectly clean home, a husband who felt loved and appreciated, fresh food on the table, and well-behaved and happy kids all by my own abilities and will power. And though it is possible alone, I found that the women who looked like they had it together had the biggest supports systems, whether they came naturally or were something they could invest in. But also, the burn out and over stimulation is real when you're doing it alone.
Once I started being a stay at home mom, I quickly saw I couldn't do it all. Connecting with other moms and mothering together has been the biggest help in my journey of motherhood. Mothering together outdoors? Icing on the cake 🙌🏼
Here's to a summer of mothering together and hopefully more hikes together too!
