Over the years I've learned that these three steps make the quoting and communicating process so much easier with clients. If you can bring me two of these three components it gives me a clear picture of what you're asking for and how that matches what I can do.

I work with a lot of high anxiety clients and I never want them to feel like they're a burden or they have done something wrong when struggling to get an idea out. Its important you feel fully heard and that your artist can respect your vision, so slow down and take your time. Even if this means leaving your artist on read for a while to measure something out, or look at your available budget or collect more references. Give yourself the space to breathe and you are significantly more likely to get what you want versus settling for almost.
