Lost Gap Fire & Rescue

Tonight we hosted a Member & Community Appreciation Dinner to recognize and thank those who help make our department successful.

The evening was filled with great food, fellowship, and appreciation for the dedicated members of our department and the supportive members of our community. We especially want to recognize those who have gone above and beyond by volunteering their time to help with fundraisers, community events, and department activities throughout the year.

We are truly grateful for the support we receive from our community and for the hard work and dedication of our members. Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight and to all who continue to support our mission of serving others.

I have received several notifications regarding smoky conditions in our area. According to the Mississippi Forestry Commission, there is an 80-acre controlled burn taking place in Jasper County. Due to current wind direction, smoke from this burn is drifting into our area, creating a noticeable haze.

There is no immediate threat to the public at this time. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.
