As I close my classroom door on my 11th year of teaching, I’m reminded of why we invest so heavily in our schools and our youth.

Tonight, all my thoughts will be with Meriden’s graduates from Platt and Maloney. The world looks a lot different than it did when I graduated 20 years ago, but one thing hasn’t changed: the incredible potential of our youth to forge a brighter path forward.
