These tree grates are absolutely beautiful. They are works of art that were perfect when they were installed. The issue is, over the years, these city trees have outgrown the steel coverings, and have grown into it. We had to come in and remove the grates, and replaced it with porous pavement.

My father used to shout “look at that Crepe Murder” whenever he saw pruned Crepe Myrtle trees, and it’s a name I’ll never forget.
