Yesterday, THRYVE, LLC debuted our first consultant, our founder and CEOs EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD SON!
Now this ain't no silver spoon in the mouth type of situation! This is young dude who has pulled from the strength of his ancestors and has created his way, stepping into and embracing all of who he is.
Kiricka Yarbough Smith of KYS Consulting brought together a panel of incredibly powerful Black men to talk about Black men's mental health.
It was raw, vulnerable, gritty, authentic and a very necessary conversation.

The epitome of Black Excellence!!
THIS is what I'm talking about when I speak on the importance of intentionally racially socializing our children.
This right here is MY son... He has quietly watched my moves, listened to my words and stepped into his own as a proud, unapologetically Black young man!
He is not naive to the oppressive circumstances that surround him. He is learning to navigate, while also stepping into his greatness and encouraging others to do the same!
While I was working behind the scenes to surprise him as the keynote speaker of his high school's Black Student Union senior celebration, little did I know he was preparing his own speech and surprising me as the closer of the event.
I could not be prouder sharing the stage with my son and watching the power in his movement and being captivated by his voice.
