As It Is Written

It may take a little time before the fruit matures, but a good tree will produce good fruit.

The Lord God alone truly satisfies our longing souls. The pursuits of this life won't do it. The people around us won't do it. Nothing can because only God is enough. And only those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be satisfied, for they are blessed by the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord for His lovingkindness!

We have a job to do. We are the people of God, called to be the light to the world by pointing them to the Light of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but by Him. Carry out the King's commands and don't worry too much over things you have no control over. Trust in the Lord and the strength of His might.

Are we truly known by our love for one another? So often, many think they are loving towards the brethren; but sadly, many are distant and impersonal. It's hard to be loving or to claim to be loving when we put up a million walls and live isolated and disconnected lives.

Are we truly known by our love or are we known by our own self interests? If we're not known by our love, may we return to our first love that may we become more like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and walk in love as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us. Let us pursue maturity in the faith, to become a spotless, undefiled bride known by our love for God and for others, especially those of the household of faith.
