Our Final Gathering, A Day to Remember. As the sun rose on our final day together, July 6, our hearts were still full from the joy of the night before. What a sight it was sitting in our seats at the baseball field, gazing out at the sign that proudly saluted the Coleman/Durham Family Reunion in Memphis. A simple gesture, yet it spoke volumes about legacy, love, and the power of family.

Early Sunday morning, some family members quietly began their journeys home, returning to their communities and spheres of influence. But for those who remained, the spirit of togetherness lingered. We gathered not just to say goodbye, but to worship. Through prayer, testimony, and the reading of scripture, we didn’t just have a service, we had church.

And then came the moment that moved every heart in the room. Cousin Faye—our Faith—stood and shared her testimony of what happened on the night of May 16, 2024. (Recommend you listen to the 8 min I’ve uploaded) A night when the devil tried to claim her and her husband. A night when the enemy meant harm. But God. God sent His angels. He shielded her, covered her, and saved her—even after a gunshot to the face. Her survival is a miracle—it’s a declaration of divine protection and purpose.

Following her testimony, Mrs. Mary Coleman offered a powerful blessing—one born of a lifetime of faith. With unwavering belief, she prayed over her sons and her husband, speaking life, strength, and God’s favor into their futures. Her words were not just heard—they were felt.

My soul is full. Our family is full. And I believe God is pleased. Pleased that our Memphis family set aside their own needs and desires to pour out hospitality, love, and grace. They didn’t just host us—they ministered to us. They gave us Memphis at its best.
