WE'RE TURNING 36!
We opened our doors 36 years ago today as a response to an urgent need in the Memphis social and faith communities. At a small A-frame church on Monroe in Midtown, our ten founding members welcomed congregants, many of whom had been excluded from churches due to discrimination surrounding the emergence of HIV/AIDS.

As the first church of its kind in the Mid-South, Holy Trinity gained eminence and grew - proudly inclusive of gender, race, age, sexual orientation, economic condition and theological background.

Over three decades later our mission is steadfast: to participte in God's healing love by offering extravagant grace, radical inclusion and relentless compassion for all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HOLY TRINITY!

OUR PRIDE FIRSTS!
The FIRST RAINBOW FLAG used in a Memphis Pride parade in 1997 was made at Holy Trinity. This keepsake piece of the original 100-feet flag, now retired, hangs on our sanctuary wall.

Also, Holy Trinity was the FIRST MEMPHIS CHURCH to openly welcome those banned from area churches due to discrimination and stigmas against those living with HIV/AIDS.

Today, WE REMAIN UNMATCHED as an inclusive & alternative way to experience church - no matter who you are or where you are on life's journey.
