Good Decisions…

I’ve always known I was meant to lead. Even as a young boy in elementary school, I found myself stepping into leadership roles. Throughout school, I served as President of 4-H, President of FFA, and President of my class. Leadership wasn’t something I learned later in life—it has always been part of who I am.

I was also blessed to be a competitor. I played running back for a small Alabama high school and was part of the team that helped bring home the first three of what would eventually become twenty-five state football championships. Those experiences taught me discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and the importance of doing your part when others are depending on you.

My greatest accomplishment, however, has nothing to do with sports, business, or awards. I have been married to my beautiful wife, Lula, for 44 years. Together, we have raised two children and have been blessed with three wonderful grandchildren. Family has always been the foundation upon which everything else in my life has been built.

I also spent nearly twenty years serving our country in the military. Those years taught me lessons that continue to guide me every day: integrity matters, your word matters, and true leaders lead from the front. The military reinforced values that have shaped both my personal life and my business career.

Along the way, I pursued another passion—fitness. Through years of dedication, sacrifice, and hard work, I earned the title of Mr. Alabama Bodybuilding Champion. Bodybuilding taught me that success rarely comes from talent alone. It comes from consistency, discipline, and the willingness to keep going long after most people have quit.

Professionally, I have been in business since 1992. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve experienced both success and failure. I’ve made good decisions and some not-so-good decisions. I’ve trusted people who earned that trust and trusted others who didn’t. Through it all, I’ve learned that business is ultimately about relationships and serving people.

Today, my focus is on helping businesses reduce costs, improve employee benefits, and create opportunities that strengthen both employers and employees. I am involved in several ventures, including healthcare solutions, renewable energy, and nonprofit work. One of my passions is helping organizations find practical solutions that improve lives while creating long-term value.

I’m also deeply committed to building solar energy projects and creating opportunities that can benefit communities for generations. I believe we should leave things better than we found them, and I try to bring that mindset into every project I pursue.

Faith has played a major role throughout my life. I believe God gives each of us gifts, talents, and opportunities, but He also gives us challenges. The challenges are often where the greatest lessons are found. Some of the hardest experiences I’ve faced have become the most valuable teachers.

At this stage of my life, I am not chasing titles or trophies. I’m focused on building a legacy. I want to leave behind something meaningful—something my children and grandchildren can be proud of and continue long after I am gone.

I believe success is measured by more than money. It’s measured by the lives we impact, the promises we keep, the people we help, and the legacy we leave behind.

So, in a nutshell, that’s who I am: a husband, father, grandfather, veteran, entrepreneur, bodybuilder, man of faith, and someone who still believes the best chapters of life are yet to be written.
