2026 Spring Grand is in the books. This was by far one of the hardest grands we’ve ran in a long time, between bird placement, cover, lack of wind at times… but it is The Grand and if it was easy, it wouldn’t mean as much.

We brought to the line 4 incredibly talent and experienced dogs and slowly, losing 2 of our strongest bullets in the 1st series, Dyson and Leo. In the second series, Georgia wanted the 184 yd punch bird a little too much. However, when the dust settled, Tallie rolled into the 4th on 2’s where we burned our handle on the last mark to avoid potential trouble…. That ribbon ain’t any bigger for trying to be a hero.

When the dust settled, or should I say pouring rain stopped, Tallie brought home our only pass from Kentucky making her a 3xGRHRCH. Now the pursuit of the Hall of Fame gets serious as we chase points and that coveted 4th pass.

Couldn’t have done it without a huge support system. Our clients support, training group back home, those that held down the fort while we were on the road, our Grand Training Group (Jim Templeton, Eddie Benetz, Debins, McMurray, Edmunds, & Bob Casali). However the biggest thanks goes to the Queen of this crew Stephanie Opp Grisanti. Your girl is something special and I’m proud to be the one that stands next to her!

While I was judging, our team was out running on their own! It was a good weekend for the baby dogs and our personal dogs! Owners running their dogs in Started and the most beautiful handler in the game Stephanie Opp Grisanti flew out of the nest to run Finished for the first time all by herself!
