Two weeks ago, Memphis Tenants Union brought renters together to learn and train up their door knocking skills!

Door knocking is an important step in organizing your building because it allows folks to meet their neighbors and learn first hand about their issues and experiences in an apartment complex. If we don’t talk to our neighbors, we won’t win!

Tenants learned skills such as: introducing themselves, discussing issues, agitating folks on their landlord ,and what’s possible if tenants came together and started a union. These skills are necessary for meaningful conversations amongst neighbors and a successful union!

What is a renter blitz? A renter blitz is when Memphis Tenants Union asks renters in Memphis about THEIR housing concerns and lets them know their power in a union!

MTU NEEDS ALL HANDS ON DECK TO REACH AS MANY RENTERS IN MEMPHIS!!!!!

Working nights? No problem! Have kids? No problem! Busy on the weeknights? No problem! Just want to help support? NO PROBLEM!!
