17 Spring Cleaning Tips

1. Move that couch and other large furniture to clean underneath and behind it.
2. Those windows and screens could use some attention.
3. What about your air filter? You know it's time for a change.
4. When was the last time your defrosted and wiped out your freezer?
5. That pantry can use some attention. I'm sure you have some food items that are way past their expriation date.
6. Look inside your oven. Does it need cleaning?
7. How about those light fixtures. Can they use some dusting?
8. Did you know that make-up expires. You might want to change them.
9. Your shower's grout might need some attention. Does it need re-grouting?
10. You should flip your mattress (if it's one that does flip) and clean your pillows or purchase new ones since they collect bacteria and mold. Ewww!!!
11. Waht about your closet and drawers. I'm sure there are items in there that you no long wear or fit.
12. Don't forget to clean those blinds and ceiling fans.
13. Clean the lint vent and exhaust of your dryer. Don't want to cause a fire hazard.
14. Did you ever think about cleaning your washer? They too need attention.
15. Don't forget about the outside of your home. Get rid of cobwebs and debris
16. Curtains- they too need to be cleaned
17. Did I mention baseboards?

2. Buy supplies- buy them in advance and keep them on head. Don't wait till the last minutes as supplies quickly vanish off the shelves
3. Check insurance coverage- do you have flood insurance? Your homeowner's insurance does not cover flood damage.
4. Make copies of important documents- keep them in a hurricane kit or in a safe place that does not risk being damaged during the hurricane
5. Protect your home- inspect your home to confirm that there is no damage that a hurricane could increase
6. Back up electronics- consider storing your data off-site so that you can recover it if something were to happen to the physical computer or storage device during a hurricane
