Yesterday, I had the chance to meet with a local Moms Demand Action volunteer, Michelle, to talk about gun violence prevention. Thank you for the conversation and for your advocacy!

Due to an emergency excessive heat declaration by the Mayor, in coordination with the Fire & Police Depts, we’ve made some changes to the schedule for Saturday.
KEY 4th of July CHANGES:
The SRA Bike Races are CANCELLED.
The Lions Club Children's Parade will continue, without the Pet category, as it's not safe for their paws to be exposed to super heated asphalt.
Children's Parade registration will begin at 8:15 in the Borough parking lot and begin at 8:45 on Park Ave.
The Community Parade will follow with groups gathering at 9:00 across from the Co-Op, and beginning at 9:15.
The Program & Awards will begin after the parade, around 9:45.
The Borough Group Portrait by Andy Shelter will follow the end of the parade.
The Fire Company Demonstration is CANCELLED.
The procession to Umoja Park for the Water Fight will follow the Program, around 10:30. The Fire Co. will sell hotdogs and soda/waters at the Park.
The Horseshoe Tournament at Little Crum Creek Park will now begin at 11:00.

‼️Parade Updates‼️

- The Springfield Township Parade is canceled due to the heat. The volunteer wall ceremony, scheduled to begin at 8am, will proceed as normal.

- The Marple Newtown 4th of July Parade has also been canceled as of 4:30 pm on 7/3
