"This week, the DCCC Paralegal Studies Program sponsored a tour of the Delaware County Court House, in Media, Pa. Students were greeted on arrival by the President Judge Linda A. Cartisano, Deputy District Attorney Tanner Rouse, Esquire and Courthouse Administrator, Gerald Montella, Esquire.
Highlights of the tour included a visit to a criminal jury trial in Judge Pileggi’s court, meeting with Judge Cartisano who explained how the judicial system works, and Deputy DA Rouse who spoke about the role of the DA’s office. The students also visited Mary J. Walk, Esquire, Director, Delaware County Office of Judicial Support, Julie Rosie, Esquire and her team at the Register of Wills Office and the law library where they spoke with the librarian Harry Brown. The final stop was with the District Attorney’s office, where students were greeted by the District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer and Rouse.
The students also connected with DCCC Legal and Paralegal Studies program alumni who work at the courthouse, gaining valuable insights into the field and potential career paths within the legal system. We’re grateful for this experiential learning opportunity for our students! "
