Webster Street Little Free Library

We’re fully stocked including more handmade bookmarks and seasonal reading themed stickers!! And I can barely keep us in Constitutions! Be on the lookout a bit later this week for some controversial books in honor of Banned Books week (though we’ve had plenty of those come and go already 😂).

Now that school’s back in session, book traffic is picking back up! We’ve gotten lots of donations recently, and lots of books being taken!! I just did a restock and it’s totally full, including (apparently) everyone’s favorite pocket Constitutions, and some beautiful handmade bookmarks from a neighbor. And T’s trip to the craft store this weekend resulted in a book themed birdhouse, which she wanted to join M’s gnome in the at this point fairly lush garden! (Also, anyone know what this giant plant is? W**d? Or something nice that hasn’t bloomed yet?)

Happy fraught 4th of July. Pop on over for a pocket Constitution if you need a portable reminder that it all says what it actually says 🫠. And check out Flat Stanley and Judy Moody sandwiched among current events……I mean, whoops, historical fiction. 🫠🫠🫠 Less depressing: popsicle bookmarks!

Just did another summer restock (with popsicle bookmarks!), and while I was walking out, I heard a little kid in a stroller say to their grownup, “Ooh I wanna get a new book!” 🥰 Also the seeds I sowed are finally starting to bloom! (Looks like cornflower, fivespot, and heliotrope so far?) Be still, my little library heart!! 💜

In honor of summer vacation ☀️🏖️😎, I just did a big restock of both adult and kid books!! Grab a book to take to Wright’s Pond…..it opened today!

We’ve hit—and surpassed—100 books taken! Yesterday morning we were at 98, and as of this morning we’re at 104. We also had some donations, including someone’s early selection that has been returned to us (My First Root Children, one of my personal faves haha)! I’ll do a little restock this afternoon, too. 😊

We spent the morning out, now that the weather is finally nice, and I think everyone else was out, too……. Out visiting our Little Free Library! The books were almost gone when we got home and I checked! I did a big restock, so we’re back in action. Here’s what we’ve got.
