It’s my birthday today, and so far I have celebrated by eating carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for breakfast in bed, after which, I fell back to sleep in a sugar coma.

To Love or to Love?

Love is peculiar.
And so much
expected of it.

I should know better.
And maybe I do.

Still, I’d like a chance
to challenge love
to live up to
its reputation.
