When I said “UVA creates serotonin that turns into melatonin,” here’s the fuller, geekier truth.
Morning light (bright visible + UVA to your eyes) hits your brain’s master clock (SCN) and:
⬆️Boosts daytime serotonin for mood, focus, and energy.
🙅🏻♀️Shuts off melatonin so you’re not sleepy during the day.
⏰Starts a 12–16 hour timer so your pineal gland can convert serotonin → melatonin later tonight when it’s dark.
Result? You fall asleep faster, sleep deeper, wake earlier. Free sleep hack.

Action: 10–20 min outside, eyes in light (no shades if safe, no glasses or contacts either), morning as possible. Your sleep will thank you.
