2) What schooling is needed to become a biomedical engineer?
It is never too early to start preparing for a career path in the future.To prepare to become a biomedical engineer in the future, one can start in high school by taking science classes such as chemistry, biology, and physics. One should also take a good amount of math courses in high school: algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Additionally, you can take courses in computer programming and drafting/mechanical drawing and internships as a high school student at hospitals and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies in order to expose yourself to the basics as a biomedical engineer.
As a biomedical engineer, the lowest required education is a bachelor's degree for entry-level positions. Programs in biomedical engineering include a focus on engineering and biomedical sciences. A biomedical engineering would take laboratory and classroom based classes in subjects such as fluid and solid mechanics, computer programming, circuit design, and bio materials. One can also take additional biological sciences such physiology.
Biomedical engineers have certain qualities that make them suitable to do what they do. The qualities of a biomedical engineer include having analysis, communication, math, problem solving skills.

The field of biomedical engineering is most famous for creating working prosthetic body parts for disabled individuals.
