When it comes to goal-setting, the big question is always "what's your 'why'?"

Well, for me it's this guy. He's also why I finally made the switch to real estate (something I should have done 10 years earlier). I knew I wanted to start a family and that I wanted a job that allowed me to be at home a decent amount of the time. I happened to also know that I was destined for this path, so it all just made sense.

It hasn't always been an easy balance. I was ratifying a contract while laboring with him in the hospital. I nursed him in a meeting with a builder and a client. And now he's four, he goes to preschool, has after-school activities, and spring break is suddenly A Thing.

So here I am, covered in a tortilla blanket on the couch in the playroom, following up with leads while judging his castle-building and dino cosplay. Could be a lot worse.

If you're having A Monday, take a minute to think about your "why." It's a helpful - and healthy - reminder that what you're doing is important and worth the obstacles at hand.

You know what I recently found out? That real estate professionals are often compared to used car salesmen and ambulance chasers. 😳 You guys...the gasp I gasped! I like to think that I'm fairly self-aware, but WOW and OUCH.

It got me thinking that maybe I need to put a bit more effort into showing people who I am, what my values are as a Realtor, and why this job is so important. So here goes...

Hi there! I'm Monica Weddle, and I've been selling, designing, and consulting on real estate since 2018. Also since 2018 I had a pandemic baby and moved from Raleigh, NC to McLean, VA, so one could say it has been a wild ride so far. But in that time I:

❤️Worked with truly incredible clients to realize their dreams of upsizing, downsizing, and everything in between
🧡 Designed and sold multiple new construction and renovation projects in NC and in VA (I love a wallpapered powder room, as it turns out.)
⚡️ Learned. So. Much.

And now I'm part of a powerful 💪, dynamic, and really special team that embodies the same values I do when it comes to serving my clients: FASS Results.
