Human Connection is Powerful. You create Prospect Connections by asking, "what do you need?" asking the follow up question, "what is holding you back?" is how you create Client Connections!
Qualify any Sales Opportunity by asking Two specific Questions: "What do you Need to Accomplish?" and "What, if any, Concerns do you have?" The purpose for asking "up front" is Efficiency...Not to be confused with being "pushy or aggressive". You are simply clarifying goals and identifying potential roadblocks to ensure your solution is a good fit. If it's is, Great, then proceed with confidence. If not, Expect a big "Thanks" for being respectful enough to save everyone's time!
Leadership with Dignity begins by listening to your Sales Team. Your guidance will be better received by someone struggling to meet their sales goals, if you start by asking, "What do you need to succeed?" Focusing on their concerns first, before offering your solution, is the fastest way to lower resistance. Addressing a "perceived need" frees up someone's mind to shift their focus and effectively listen and learn.
Whether you are Qualifying Prospects or Closing Sales remember to Ask Questions even when you think you already know the Answers ...Prospects need to hear their own Answers, in their Own Voice!
