Marge's Place

Marge was Marge's Place. She took this storefront on Broadway, where many restaurants had failed over the years, and made it into something special.

She was determined and never shied away from hard work. When the restaurant first opened, she worked all morning and all day to build this business, then went to work at another job to pay her bills.

Marge's Place took off, and Marge was able to leave her other job. Still, she put in 14 hour days. She never complained. She loved it. She loved this community and her customers.

As most of you know, Marge passed away after a battle with cancer on May 17. She fought cancer as hard as she worked to build this restaurant, never complaining and caring for others through the whole ordeal. Now, she is at peace.

Because Marge was Marge's Place, and there was only one Marge, the restaurant has been sold.

After this weekend, the new owner will give the place a new name. All employees will be able to keep their jobs. We hope you will continue to support local businesses in Stowe and McKees Rocks.

Thank you for all of your business over the years. Some of her regular customers were as dedicated to the place as Marge herself. She appreciated every one of you who helped to make her dream a success.
