I'm enjoying pollinator festival in my garden. Insects are flocking to goldenrod, Georgia savory, mistflower, frostweed, scarlet sage, climbing aster and others. It's the best show in town.

These wildflowers and more will be available from vendors at the fall Lowcountry South Carolina Native Plant Society sale Saturday, October 26, at the Mt. Pleasant, SC Farmers Market. The sale is from 1 to 4 PM.

There are always a great bunch of people there willing share information and sell plants. This will be my last sale. I'll be dedicating my time from now on to gardening, stupid yard art and having fun. Thanks for my nine years in business! I've met a lot of wonderful folks and had a great time talking plants and insects!

Tomorrow I'll be open from 10:00 AM until 3 PM. Please call or text 843-870-5974 to arrange a visit during the week.

Bulls Bay Nature Festival is tomorrow from 7:30 AM until 5 PM with outdoor activities, live music, food vendors and an art exhibit. It is at the Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center in Awendaw, SC. Visit the festival website for a full list of activities.

Flying Fig Farm and Bottle Tree Gardening will be on hand selling native plants. I'll lead a youth pollinator walk and we'll make beer can bee houses.

The photo is of a cloudless sulphur butterfly nectaring on Lobelia. I'll have a few of these plants at the festival.
