I thought I was going to die. June 7th 2024 I was admitted into the hospital with period pain, body pain, vomiting, hysteria, and weakness so bad that it felt like every bone in my body was being compressed by a hydraulic press, vomiting so much that I was completely depleted of what felt like everything, so much period blood that it was like there was a massacre, and so weak that my husband (then boyfriend) had to help me walk, carry me, and speak for me. This wasn’t the first time I had been admitted for symptoms like this, but it WAS the first time that I felt like death was at my door. I am very young. I’m 22, but at the time I was 18,19,20. I don’t often talk about the health issues I’ve had in the past cause I don’t see a need to, but I think right now is a good time to shed light on it. It took them hours to see me so I was in and out of the hospital bathroom throwing up alone. They did blood work, said, “you’re fine”, and shot me up with pain meds (which felt great by the way).
